I am avid reader but I don’t have as much time to read as I’d like. But I still collect books and add them to my collection to read. So after a great Blogging Your Way class, I went out and bought a few books that were recommended. I added these to my great collection. So here are the top 5 that I’m in the process of reading now or will be reading soon. Keep in mind, I am a business person at heart, so there are some business books mixed in.

1. I’m almost 3/4 through book and it’s been excellent. A good resource for job hunting or career changing.

2. I have always been fascinated by personalities, how they work together and what my personality is, etc. So I can’t wait to dig into this book more. A book recommended by Holly from our Blogging Your Way e-class. In case you’re wondering, I took a free personality test and I am an ISTP.

3. I’m halfway through this one too. It’s also excellent! A great way for beginner designers or “at home” designers to learn the basics. I’ve learned so much already from her. A great guide.

4. Something that I always need help doing.

5. Being the only girl in a department full of men, I’m always looking for ways to stand up for myself and just making myself heard. It’s a challenge working with all men sometimes. So this book has been good helping me learn some techniques to make myself heard.

And now thanks to Anna over at Be Healthy, Be Well, Be Inspired I went over to the Alkaline Sisters blog and started reading their blog and now I want to read Healthy at 100 and The pH Miracle: Balance Your Diet, Reclaim Your Health.

So now that I’ve written all that, I’ve decided I need to carve out sometime just to read on a regular basis.

If you don’t know our adventures in selling our townhouse yet, it’s been a long haul. It’s been on the market for a year and a half. And there are certain things I’m missing. For example, a kitchen table. We have a little staged table in the kitchen but it’s uncomfortable for us to sit on and it only fits two people. Our other table was too big, so we were made to take it out. But our realtor finally decided that maybe we needed to get a slightly bigger table to stage it so it looks like there is space to eat. Yay! But since I don’t want to spend a lot of money on something that I don’t whether it’ll fit in the “new” place, I looked to Craigslist, Ebay and Ikea and finally found this set of table and chairs for $80 from Ikea. And I think it’s pretty adorable.

I mean just the thought of eating at a table again and not on the couch is pretty exciting. Especially since my parents are coming this weekend and we can actually have Easter dinner on the table. Wow! Such small things make me happy. So I think I’m going to get it this weekend with my parents. I’m very excited if you couldn’t tell.

How was your weekend? Mine was okay, did a little shopping and went to a friend’s 4 yrs son soccer game. It was fun to watch them at that age chase the ball around. Hope your day is going well!

I was browsing on Style At Home tonight and came across this house in Vancouver and I immediately fell in love. I love the use of basic white and neutrals and then the pops of color. I think that’s been a trend of some blogs the last few days. I love the kitchen table, in the second photo. My Realtor just informed me that we might want to think about getting a bigger table (right now we just have a two person table in the kitchen) so it might show better. So that is one that I’ve been kinda eyeing but I would like one that extends. But that’s a different story for a different time. And I  love the pink in the nursery! I’m all about stickers in the nursery right now and tried to get one of my friends to do that with hers.

I’m in love with pianos and someday want a Baby Grand in my house. Right now, I’m waiting until we get a house so I can take the regular piano from my parents, as its not being used there.
