Hello my ChicGeek friends!

So sorry this has been a poor week for posting. I really don’t know how time got away from me this week. It’s so hard to believe that next week is June already! I mean time was flown by! Do you have big plans for Memorial Day weekend? I don’t. I have to finish a tennis match I started tonight but got rained out after the first set. Of course its first thing in the morning and if you know me, you know I’m not a morning person. This is my last double’s match of the season and then soon singles will start up again. I don’t know if I was brave or completely stupid but I signed up for two singles league over the summer. Ha.

I did start my Yoga Booty Ballet this week. I really like it! It was a great mix of Yoga, Dance, Strength, Ballet and Yoga. I’m not really good at the Yoga part and I couldn’t see the tv from the floor, so that was a little hard for me. But I’ll get better. The easier level is 45 mins and then the next level is 60 mins.

So I might have a possibility to go to Germany in August with one of my friends for a few days! I’m super excited. She’s got to go over there for a job and asked me if I wanted to fly over and spend a few days afterwards to explore with her. Germany? Heck yeah! But now we’re just trying to find me a cheap flight and all that stupid money stuff. But if I do we’re trying to find a castle to stay in. How awesome would that be! I’ve never been in Germany but it’s on my bucket list! Well, pretty much all of Europe is and I haven’t hit that much of it yet. So exciting…..

Has anyone seen “Letters to Juliet” yet? It’s on my ‘must see’ list. It looks so cute!

Yay! “So You Think You Can Dance” is back! Definitely one of my favorite shows! It’s going to be an interesting season with the way they are doing things. And only picking 10 dancers. I really don’t know how they are going to do that! As my SIL and I were talking about – they could have picked 10 from last night – they were soooo good! Wow, it’s going to be an amazing season and we are going to see some great dances especially since one partner is always going to be good in that genre. AND Mary Murphy is not going to be there to scream every week. Phew! Also anyone watch the Bachlorette? Ali is just so cute. I really hope it works out for her but some of those guys on there are total duds. Some are cute though. Another interesting season! Okay, enough tv talk.

One of the things that was holding me back from getting the iPad was I didn’t think you could upload pictures from the camera since it didn’t have USB plug. But I was a little bored yesterday at work and decided to research it just to make sure before I ruled it out. And it turns out that there is an attachment that you plug into the iPad and then you plug your camera USB or memory card into the attachment. So awesome! That solves my dilemma. My anniversary is coming up. This might make a perfect gift. It’ll be especially nice for all the traveling I have coming up.

Sorry for being MIA this week!! I was out sick the beginning of the week and then the week just got away from me. I really did mean to post last night but I fell asleep doing my homework. Oops! I’m really dragging this week. I got to paint for my homework assignment this week – the color wheel. I felt like I was back in grade school! I got to paint, cut out the paint into shapes to paste onto the special sheet. So I got to use paint, scissors and the glue stick! LOL. So we did an acrylic paint color wheel and then a color wheel in Adobe Lightroom with 24 hues. My painted color wheel is not accurate but my Lightroom color wheel got great reviews.  Here’s both of my assignments if you’re curious what I’m learning about.

How has your week been? Hopefully better than mine! Do you have plans for the long weekend? Hopefully I’ll be back tomorrow for a ramble.

Hello my ChicGeek friends,

How was your week? Mine was okay but I’m very glad it’s Friday!

* I’m sitting here watching “Leap Year” With Amy Adams. Anyone else seen it? So far its really good! I love Amy Adams. And its in one of my favorite places – Ireland. I’ve never been but really want to. Definitely on my bucket list!

* I am enjoying my Color Theory class so far. I need to get acrylic paints this weekend so I can start on my next assignments. But I have learned a lot in just the first week. Can’t wait to learn more!

* I’ve started reading The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People this week. (Yes, one more to add to the stack of ones I’m already reading!) I’m on the 3rd habit and learning a lot. I thank Brigitte for the recommendation!

* My Yoga Booty Ballet DVD came today! I can’t wait to start it on Monday. I weighed myself today and it was more than I thought which was depressing. So I really need the motivation and support to start to get into a regular program.

* Note to self, don’t write a post while watching a movie. Distracting!

* If you haven’t read Piper’s Dream Report  at Makeunder My Life, go check it out. It was really good today! It definitely made me think about prioritizing things and how I need to map out time for things. It’s just so hard to figure out how to fit everything in the day! I really thing there needs to be more hours in the day.

*  I’m going to leave you with a picture of my mom’s pup Rocky. He’s standing guard watching the fence/door to bark in case anyone comes out. Just so we don’t miss it.

Can’t Find Time to Workout?

A little different topic but important for me as I’m trying to work on my fitness agenda and get more in shape. I’ve put on some weight recently with my health issues and I’m very frustrated with that. House Beautiful has a new bookazine out called “500+ Favorite Paint Colors” and I have their other paint guide and I love it! I’m always looking at it, trying to find the best colors to go in my “new” house. So I definitely want to get this new bookazine sometime!
