I have a great giveaway for you today – an Altec Lansing Octiv Mini Speaker! I have nothing but good things to say about this company. I met them at BlogHer last year and they let me try out one of their speakers on my own and then give one away to my readers! You are going to love this!

Let me tell you about  my experience with Altec Lansing first. We first communicated and they sent me two Altec Lansing Octiv Mini Speakers. One to review and one to giveaway. I was testing the Octiv Mini with their great Alarm Clock application with my iPhone 4 but I kept having some static issues. I emailed them right away and I found out, after some further testing and reviewing with them, that at the time the Octiv Mini wasn’t compatible with iPhone 4. So they were generous enough to switch it out for the Octiv Duo, which was compatible with the iPhone 4 at the time (please be aware this was all happening in October/November 2010. Yes, I am behind at writing this review!)

She was unable to get me a Duo to giveaway but still sent me a Mini back to giveaway – still very generous for my readers! Let me tell you the sound is awesome on this speaker! I’m sitting in my home office listening to it right now and I am just in love with it. I turn it up and rock out on it when hubby isn’t home. And even when he is home, I just shut the door. I love that it charges my iPhone while it’s playing. My last iPod/iPhone speaker didn’t do that. The shape of the Duo is wonderful because it fits in small spaces – and check out where the remote goes when you’re not using it! What a great design.

Perfect for those ChicGeek Interior Designers like me – looking for something that is stylish and puts out a great sound. I just HATE static and bad quality speakers. If my radio station even hits at static while we are traveling, I HAVE to turn it. I can’t stand it. But I don’t have to worry about that with my Altec Lansing Speakers! Do you ever have a long day where you just want to come home to a comfortable space and relax? Today was one of those days – worked until 8:30pm and just wanted to come home and chill. I missed being on Twitter and checking my email, etc. If I could, I’d love to come home to a space like this. It’s so relaxing and cozy. I love the textures used and of course the chandeliers! There can’t be enough chandeliers in a space! Just so pretty….

Since we will be moving back to our house, (boo!) we have talked about redoing the master bathroom. The only thing I am thinking about keeping is the cabinets, toilet and bathtub to save some money. But other than that we are going to redo all the tile, counter and flooring. While browsing for some inspiration, I think I found exactly what I had in my mind.

We already have white cabinets, so therefore I am wanting to keep things in a white tone. I was leaning towards a subway tile in the shower area and that’s exactly the type of granite I was looking for. I wasn’t sure what type of flooring to put down but I really like this penny tile. Perfect inspiration! And to pick up the grey in the granite, I love this picture for the wall color:

Yay! So excited to have inspiration in picture form instead of just in my head. When we do the construction I will definitely be posting pictures!

I am loving wall decals lately, especially quotes.  I think right now I need something around me that will continue to build me up as I’m working through things. Does anyone have a daily affirmation or mantra they say to themselves? I feel like I need one rather than “I am defeated”. The one I have come up with this week is “I am resilient”. I was thinking that I could use one of these quotes on my bathroom mirror and if I looked at it on a regular basis, maybe it would help. These quotes are so beautiful, I wouldn’t know which to choose. Or I could do a custom one.  If I did a custom one, my thought is “Every cloud has a silver lining” … Thoughts?

Do any of those look good to you for something I can put on a mirror as a daily affirmation? Or should I create my own? If so, what should I create? Help! Please?
