Back to Technology Tuesday this week! This week I just want to show some cute accessories that I need for my all my gadgets – and I’m sure you will too once you see them!

1. Grassy Lawn Charging Station

Is this not the most creative way you’ve seen to charge your electronics? Just imagine putting this on your desk and seeing the reactions when people walk in and see all your electronics in the grass! A great way to hide those pesky charging cords.

2. Jonathan Adler iPad Case

I admit, I pretty much love all things Adler. I have quite a few of his designs in my Office already and this Chevron iPad case would be perfect for my lovely iPad. I just love the colors and the pattern.

3. Orla Kiely Laptop Bag

I have been eyeing Orla Kiely’s stuff for awhile now and when I saw this laptop bag, I knew it had to go in this week’s list. Would this not be the perfect bag to travel with? I love those cars!

4. USB Hubdog

Don’t have enough USB ports on your computer? Then you need a USB Hub – a Hubdog to be exact! This is a sweet addition to your boring black laptop. It’ll give you something to look at and amuse yourself with its cuteness.

5. Jawbone UP

This wristband is made to track your vitals and upload to your phone. It will help you exercise better, eat better and sleep better as it will actually wake you at the best time by vibrating against your wrist. This thing just looks really cool and I wish I could try it out but $99 is a stretch for me right now. The only issue I see is that you actually have to plug it in to upload your data – which is strange since they are a BlueTooth company. Anyways, check it out for yourself!

I had a great suggestion from a reader to do a review on iPhone Cameras for one of my Technology Tuesdays because I accidently left out Instagram on my Favorite iPhone Apps. I am planning on doing that now (Thank you, Elisse!) but I want your input – what are your favorite Camera apps? Doesn’t have to be just iPhone – I want to expand it for those of you who don’t have iPhones but I need your opinions!

Ready for another edition of Technology Tuesday? I am!! For those of you who don’t know, I’m in LOVE with my iPhone. There I said it. Aloud. I’m seriously attached it and it’s always with me. I left it at home once when I went to work and came back at lunch time to get it because I was going through withdrawals. Sad? Eh. Today I wanted to share with you my Top Ten iPhone apps. I hope you find them useful and I want to know your favorite apps! I’m always on the lookout for new things to try out.

Social Media

1. Twitter – Yes, I check up on my social media all the time. And I use it to Tweet when I’m away from the computer (which is rare these days. Ha.) While my life isn’t that exciting right now, I typically share what I’m watching on TV, new blog posts, food and well, whatever is on my mind. You can follow me here.

2. Facebook – Just one more way to keep up with my social media. I love Facebook. My Facebook “group” and my Twitter “group” are quite different. My Facebook “group” is more my family and good friends. Then my Twitter “group” are more blog friends, social media friends, etc. It’s a different way to interact with cool people. I do have a Facebook FanPage that you can follow to get my latest blog posts. I need to use it more and that’s a new goal of mine. You can find that here.

3. Foursquare – While I don’t publicize my Foursquare to Twitter/Facebook (I have security issues. Ha! Comes from my IT Security background). I do have a few friends on Foursquare and I’m working my way up to being Mayor of my Starbucks. LOL! I am Mayor of my Doctor though. LOL. Pathetic. Yes. I’m there way too much.

Money Apps

4. PageOnce – I love this application for being able to see all my bank and credit accounts at once. It’s nice to be able to sign in once and see how much (or little!) I have in my accounts rather than switching from app to app. It’s got nice graphs and charts too to show you where you have been spending your money. Always interesting to look at.

5. Bill Tracker – While I pay most of my bills online through my bank account, I have several bills that are automatically paid through that company. This little app helps me watch when bills are going to be deducted from my bank account and it also reminds me when bills are due so I don’t miss a payment. (Don’t worry, my bills are all paid – I just forgot to update the app)

6. Debt Free – Ah, I have debt. Not something I’m proud of but this app helps me by tracking my debt payments and shows me the best way to pay off everything the quickest. It follows the “snowball” rule in debt paying.

Games Apps

Okay, it’s hard to narrow down my games to two. BUT these are my current favorite two apps.

7. Plants vs Zombies – Oh man, this game is so addicting. Thanks to my brother, I play it non-stop. I beat the game and I’m on my second time through it. It’s that much fun. You have plants that shoot stuff to kill the zombies that are attacking your yard and trying to get to your house. It’s a lot of “strategy” on where to place the plants and flowers to kill the zombies. SO MUCH FUN! Better yet – the people at PopCap are always updating the game with new mini-games and exciting stuff. Well worth the price.

8. Fashion Story – This is my newest addiction. Uh? Fashion? Owning a boutique and putting clothes in it? Heck yeah! Right up my alley. Love this game so much. I’m managing my “store” all through the day to make sure it has enough clothes in it, customers are happy, etc so I can make it to the next level to be able to sell more clothes. SO FUN!

Misc Apps

9. Starbucks – Sooooooooooooooo…. a geek that loves Starbucks. You can pay for your Starbucks with this app if you have a card loaded. Yes, I was the one that couldn’t wait to use this app to pay for my Starbucks the very first day that you could. Call me addicted, call me pathetic but whatever. I love what I love and I believe it’s the way of the future. Paying for items with your phone. You can take credit cards with your phone – why not pay for items?

10. Evernote – This app rocks my world. It’s a Word Processing tool or note taking tool that syncs with any other Evernote app that you have. I have Evernote on my iPad and my computer, so whenever I use this – it updates all of them. I forgot to mention that you can access Evernote online too, so your stuff is there if you’re away from your computer, phone, etc. That’s how I’ve been tracking my “to-do” list. If I think of something and I’m not near my computer, I’ll add it to my iPhone Evernote app and then when I get to my computer, it’s there. A good way for me to write down things when I’m thinking of them so I don’t forget later.

Those are my favorite apps for the time being. I’m obsessed with trying new apps though, so please tell me your favorites or ask me if I’ve tried something that you’re not sure about. I will tell you, free apps are my favorite. I RARELY purchase an app these days and it has to have really good reviews for me to try it. The only paid app that I mentioned above are Plants vs Zombies (and that is seriously worth the money. Trust me)

I’m really excited about this new weekly feature. I think it’s a great edition to the blog to show off my “geeky” side. I want to share some new technology each week – new apps, new games, just new geeky things.

This week I’m going to start out with an iPad game called Fleck. Through Clever Girls Collective I was able to get a preview of this iPad game. I downloaded it on my iPad and started playing – it is addicting! I think its cool because the game is based on Google Maps. You can build your home base in your own living city or any city of your choosing. You know I live in Atlanta, but I didn’t have any desire to build my home base there – so I built it in San Diego. Here’s a picture of my home base:

It has the restaurants on it from Yelp! which makes it more interesting – going to restaurants that actually exist in the real world on an iPad game. But the most fun part of this iPad game, Fleck,  is the zombie fighting. Yes, you get to fight Zombies and I’m all about that. You make friends and help them fight zombies. There are different levels of Zombies and depending on the level, you need more people to defeat that zombie. You can see in the picture above the purple bubble with a number 1 – means that you can fight it by yourself. There are other Zombie bubbles that have greater numbers on them. If you don’t kill it as a number 1, they will grow bigger and you will need more and more people to fight it with you.

You can also grow flowers, plant trees, water flowers and trees, buy restaurants and just meet other people. It’s so much fun and a game that you just have to check out. Make friends, fight zombies and visit the world through Google Maps. It is so much fun to travel and see different places and see famous sites.
