As mentioned earlier, we spent the weekend in Charleston, South Carolina. We went with no plans so we didn’t do anything major. I did pick up a book at Barnes and Noble over the weekend, Design Rules: The Insider’s Guide to Becoming Your Own Decorator by Elaine Griffin. I’ve started it and so far I really like. Book Review to come once I’m done! But back to Charleston, I love the city and could just walk around it all weekend to look at the houses, gates, gardens and churches. Gates are the “newest” thing, so when you walk through the market and through the photographers areas and will see pictures of just the different gates in the area. I think maybe because people can’t change anything else, they change their gates. Because of the preservation laws, the city will remain the same to maintain its history. No skyscrapers for this city. I think its nice and it keeps its charm. If you have never been, go!
The famous Pineapple Fountain in the Waterfront Park Pier. It represents Charleston’s hospitality.
Within the market, there are handmade sweetgrass baskets being made and sold. They don’t like their picture being taken, so I had to sneak this one, hence the shadow.

I’m on holidays, in Melbourne Australia, but I’ve allowed myself one hour to catch up on things. Like your blog.
