We did make it out to Scott’s Antique Market on Saturday and we spent nearly the whole day there going through all the booths. Just when near the end of it all and I hadn’t seen anything that I liked nor in the price range I wanted to spend, I found it. While it’s not exactly what I had pictured, I like it and the price was right – $60. It’s not the right color – but that can be fixed easily enough. When the weather is warm, I’ll take it outside and paint it white. Here it is, I bought a basket to put the mail in and then I bought dividers. What do you think about the basket? It looks a little big, but it barely fits the magazines.

I like it! It might look a bit more “grounded” if you hung a small print or photo above the bin.
I went thrifting this weekend, too, but did not have any success.

Brigitte – Thanks! That’s a good idea. I might have to think about that and look for a small print or photo. There’s just a small space left, but I’m sure I can find something. No success? That’s too bad. :-/
Bro – No hot pink for the table. Don’t think it’ll help the house sell.
But just wait til I get a new house. I’m trying to figure out where I can put a hot pink wall. Probably in my office.

it’s such a cute table!
maybe a basket that does not have solid sides, or make with see through material (like acrylic) will appear to be smaller? but a frame above the basket would be totally cute regardless =)

Very cute. The size and scale look perfect. The basket looks a little big. What about a tray for mail and the basket can be on the floor to throw the magazines in. Just me being annoying, here

I still think it looks big. So I’m on the lookout for something that I like better. I did see a magazine basket that I liked and it did cross my mind to put that beside the console table. So we’ll see what I uncover in the next few days! I’m glad that you like that table!
