No Friday ramble this week since this post is dedicated to Mother’s Day and my Mom.
First, she’s going to kill me for posting pictures of her here but it’s my blog and I’ll do what I want.
Meet my Mom, the woman who has loved and supported me every step of my life. I couldn’t have gotten to where I am now without her. Sure, we had our fights during my teen years but who doesn’t?
She is my inspiration and has a huge heart. She’s more artistic than anyone else I know and I’m super jealous.
She’s become my great friend in the last many years and I don’t know what I’d do without her.
She’s my goofy, fun loving Mom. We always love a good laugh! If you ever meet her, ask her about her favorite joke – the one about the frog that walked into the bank. Haha! (Inside joke
) She loves playing games with the family and always has some card game ready to play with just me or whoever else is around. It’s a great way to spend breakfast time.
One of the most constant reminders of my Mom’s love and what she’ll do for me is my old bedroom. During college I was going through a particularly rough time (I commuted) and we decided my room was too dark and depressing. So my mom painted it all lighter and then stenciled a border all around the top. Everytime I’m home, I like in bed and just think about that and her love for me. It just means so much.
So here’s to you Mom! I hope you have a wonderful day Saturday and Sunday! Lucky you, you get a full weekend!!
Love you so much!

This made me smile Lori – if we are lucky enough to have mothers who support us and love us and inspire us, we should take every opportunity to celebrate that! And I love that you have in this beautiful tribute. Your Mom sounds lovely and I’m sure she’ll forgive you the pictures because not only do they show how beautiful she is but they say “love”, and who can be upset about that?!

Lori, what a special post. I can see how much your Mom means to you! I think she will be honored that you did an entire blog post on her so I am sure she will forgive you about posting her pictures all over your blog. I am very jealous since I don’t have the kind of relationship with my mother that you have. I can see how much your mother loves you and vice versa.
