So this weekend, hubby and I went to a couple Antique and Interior stores. They’re huge and you never know what you’re going to find at these stores. Some of the stuff is obviously antique, other junk, and other shabby chic. So these are my exciting finds!
Here are two of my purchases. My most exciting one was the Lladro piece on the right. I’ve always always wanted a Lladro piece but they’re a little out of my price right. I found this piece for $18! I looked it up and I think it’s a cake topper, which is why it’s smaller than most of their pieces, but that’s okay. It’s simplify beautiful and I still got a really good deal on it. Then I got this brand new mug with one of my recent favorite sayings on it “What would you do if you knew you could not fail?”. That’s been running through my mind a lot lately. I had taken a lot of shots of these pieces around my house with nothing in the background but this had the best lighting and I actually found this one the most amusing, but you see all my hobbies in the background. All laid out on the kitchen table. Boy I’m glad I got this table! I have the watercolors, the quilting fabric, the drawing book… LOL. So it all goes back to yesterday’s post!
And then I got this:
Isn’t it pretty? I got it from a booth where she does some of her own painting. She had one several months ago and I didn’t get it and hesitated. I lost and was so disappointed. I looked all over for something similar and couldn’t find anything. I was so bummed. Then we went this weekend and she had another one! Cue my excitement! So this will be going on my “art wall” in my office/hobby when I get one. Until then unfortunately it will probably go into storage.

Great finds! Your kitchen table looks just like mine…covered in whatever you’re working on in the moment.

Wow, finding a LLadro for such a great price. Oh, and I love the quote on your mug. Interesting story about the painting. It was meant for you! Also, did you buy Danielle’s Firestarter session? I was thinking about buying it. Brigitte had a post about it last week.

Brigitte – Thanks! Lol. Yep! I can’t tell you how exciting it is just to have a kitchen table. I know it’s the small things in life that just sometimes make it so much better. I really don’t know what I would be doing right now about my drawing class. The other small table we had was just horrible to sit at and the wrong height.
Anna – I know! I looked it up on Ebay and it’s going for $80 there. Thanks! It really makes me think. Lol I hope so! You know me and chandeliers.
I did! You’re ahead of me, I have that planned for part of my Friday rambling.
If you do decide to purchase it, you can click on my link to the side, as I’m in her affiliate program since I purchased it. I got the pre-chapter and it’s really good. I highly recommend it, as I couldn’t put it down. Also, I don’t know if you saw, but her first book – Style Statements is on sale at Amazon for $3! I got it and it just came in the mail. I’m taking it this weekend to read on the plane. I’m really excited. Let me know if you have any questions on it.

Hi Lori, thanks for the update about the Style Statement book – $3, can’t beat that. I will most likely buy Danielle’s book. It has gotten so many good reviews.

Sorry to bother you again, Lori. I clicked on the Firestarted link. Now, how do they know that it’s coming from your affiliate program. I just want to make sure you get credit. Do I go to pre-order?
Thanks,
Anna

Hi Anna! No worries. You’re not bothering me!
I’m glad I could help on the Style Statement. Regarding the Firestarters, I checked my affliate website and your click (I assume it was yours as I’ve only had one click) showed up. As long as you click that link it registers it under my “code” and I’ll get credit. And then you can pre-order from there. I hope that helps! I’m glad you’re getting it (I’m not just saying that since you might get it from me) but because I think you will really enjoy it!

Piper – Lol! I’ll have to remember that because they seriously had a bunch! My husband is like ‘why are you getting that?’. I told him I need to remember this saying! I know – I need it to stick too! I just hasn’t yet!!!
