New Year’s Resolutions

Every New Year has a new start and new resolutions. Here are a few of mine in no particular order.

1. Clean out my closet and get rid of clothes I haven’t worn in awhile. And then organize it best I can.

2. Grow ChicGeek Designs blog. I have signed up for Holly’s ‘Blogging Your Way’ over at Decor8. I’m really excited about that. It starts mid-January and I know I’ll learn a lot.

3. Clean out that pesky cabinet that I keep putting mail into everything we show the house and then never move it. It’s starting to overflow and I need to find a new home for it.

4. Grow my ChicGeek Designs Etsy site. It stalled a little bit while I focused on getting my blog up and running but hopefully now I can start working on that again. In fact, I have a few new pictures that I will be putting up this week – so please take a look!

5. Learn how to use my new camera and how to take better pictures. For example I want to learn about lighting, shadows, etc.

6. Better my time at the Cooper River Bridge Run (10K) in Charleston in March from last year. Also better my time at the Peachtree Road Race (also a 10K) here in Atlanta in July from last year.

7. Learn more about Interior Design. Continue my reading of magazines, books, and blogs.

You have some great resolutions! I like detailed “goal” like resolutions too =) Your #6 reminds me of SunRun (10K annual run in Vancouver) that i used to do for my birthday, just to proof i can finish walk/run 10K when i’m one year older. Maybe I should give it a try again this year.
Your #8 is also on my list =P And I did #9 two years ago, it’s awesome! You’ll love that city~

    Happy New Year!

Good luck! I share #5, which has mainly been an interested prompted by blogging.

These seem like very attainable goals because they’re specific. Goals like, “be a nicer person” never seem to work. How can you tell?

By the way, I’m doing Holly’s class too. I am giddy with excitement.

Thanks Helen! I figure the “goal” resolutions will keep me more honest. :-) The general ones are harder to measure. You should try the SunRun again this year! I’m a little worried as I haven’t been running this year as much as I have in the past. So my time might not be better but I still have three months, right? :-) I can’t wait to go to Paris. It’s been a city I’ve been wanting to go to for awhile, so now I just need to get it on the calender but there are a couple of things that have to happen first. Sigh! Happy New Year to you too!! Hope your holidays were great!!

Thanks Brigitte! Do you? I’m thinking of taking a class if I can find one. Shadows for some reason frustrate me right now. Lol…. I think that’s where my IT personality comes in. :-) I have to keep things measureable. Lol… Are you? Yay! I’m so excited and can’t wait. It’ll be nice to “know” someone in class!
