Wow, it’s been a couple of weeks since I’ve had a chance to ramble, eh? But today I only have one meeting and the rest of the day I’m relaxing and catching up on blogging and other things I need to do. But no pressure. I’ve been sitting outside all morning catching up on some of my blog readings that I haven’t had a chance to read all week. It’s been very nice to relax and enjoy the breeze but now it’s starting to get hot that I’m slowly losing my shade.
So, how has your week been? Anything new and exciting? Not too much here, just same old busyness. But it was my last week of class, so hopefully the next few weeks will slow down since I’m on break. Want to see my final project?
The class was Color Theory in Print so in our final we had to use a color harmony (I used analogous) and then two of three (transparency, depth, vibration). Any guesses which two I used?
I did want to do something simple but yet effective but my first draft was too simple and my professor wanted me to go back and add more ‘movement’ and ‘interaction’. Anyways, he seemed really pleased with the final result and that’s all I need!
But overall, I really enjoyed the class. Like I how used my favorite color in there?
I am one of the lucky ones (one of the 600,000) that got my new iPhone ordered before they shut it down! I am so super excited! I can’t wait to get it on Thursday.
I’m going to get it just in time to go out of town. LOL. I already warned everyone traveling with me that I will be distracted.
My tennis leagues have started this week. I decided I was stupid to sign up for two summer leagues. It’s way hot out there to play. And I’ve only played one match! LOL. My second match is tomorrow afternoon. That’s going to be horrid. I need to start hydrating now. These sudden summer storms have made scheduling a nightmare though. And they certainly haven’t helped my head at all. :-/
My husband found this great foundation while browsing the web the other day looking for a specific charity and thought I’d be interested. It’s call ‘Room to Dream‘ Foundation and what they do is partner with the local hospital and find chronically ill kids and then redesign and redecorate their bedrooms. Because they feel that if the kids are going to spend a lot of time in there, then they need a special place where they can heal and relax. And also they might need special equipment that the foundation can assist with. I was really really excited about this Foundation and was ready to go volunteer the day I read about it until I saw that it was just in Boston. :-/ I looked and looked to see if there was anything remotely close in Atlanta and I didn’t. I emailed them to see if they knew of anything or if they were willing to expand to another city and I haven’t heard back and it’s been nearly a week. So I’m slightly disappointed but at the same time, I’m now trying to figure out if I can start my own foundation.
It would take a huge amount of work. Any one in the Atlanta area want to help me?
House news – we had one showing on Thursday and I just got a call for another showing tomorrow. Just when I was accepting the fact that we were going to take it off the market. Go figure. But at least I’ve accepted the fact in case nothing happens, right?
Alright, I hope you all are having a great weekend!! Enjoy it!

The Room to Dream foundation your husband found sounds so fab. I do agree sick kids need to have a peaceful room to be in. I think that also applies to everyone esp. those who are in hospice and chose to stay at home. I wished I lived in Atlanta. I would help you start one.
I love your art assignment. How did you do that? On computer? It matches your blog colors. Hope all is well with you. I visit your blog everyday just in case you have a new post up.
Enjoy your weekend.

Hi Anna, thanks for stopping by!
Thanks! I wish you lived in Atlanta too to help me start one!
Thanks! Yes, I used Adobe Illustrator. That was the main program we used throughout the class. It was interesting to see all the different final projects everyone came up with. I really appreciate that! I’m planning on having more posts next week! So stop by! Enjoy the rest of your weekend too! Whatever is left of it!

That happened to me once – I got all excited about a foundation I had read about in a magazine. And then I found out it was only in 2 cities – it was such a bummer.
Anything happen yet on the house visits? I’ll keep my fingers crossed!!
