One of my favorite deisgners is Tobi Fairley. She was selected as one of the top 20 Young Designers by Traditional Home in 2009. She designed the cover photo of the May 2009 At Home Arkansas, and is featured in many other top design magazines including Traditional Home, Arkansas Times, Weddings in Arkansas, and Design & Decor. Her designs are beautiful and I love her use of color and patterns. Here are just a few of her designs:
Here is Tobi’s living room. Look at the beautiful use of color and pattern. Green is not my favorite color but with a room like this, I think it would be. I love those green wing chairs.
Tobi’s entryway. She says she likes to use black and white because it is “crisp and dramatic”. She gives great tips on how to use and mix and match black and white patterns on her blog. If you’ve never read her blog, you should really check it out. It’s really good. I am loving the wallpaper and the chest from Hickory Chair but also the Chanel bag and the Louis Vuitton book! Both of these rooms above are two of Tobi’s favorite places in her house.
This is a design that Tobi did for a client and she says that it was different project for her. It turned out beautiful. I mean, just check out the ceiling.
Not everything has to be bright and colorful as evidenced by Tobi’s dining room. The chairs’ slipcovers just have a subtle pattern on them, which I think is very nice.
Tobi wrote that this was probably her favorite bedroom that she has ever done. I can see why. It is simply beautiful. From the wallpaper to the headboard, to the silk comforter to the dresser all within the same shade of gold. Wow.
