Unearthing Ebay – Dining Room

A few weeks ago, I conducted a survey about doing a mini-series. The most positive feedback I got was for making rooms out of Ebay finds. So this is the first week that I’ve been able to put one together and I thought I would start with the Dining Room and this week I just started with the basics to see how it goes. Maybe next week I’ll be able to add a few more accessories. So here is the first edition of Unearthing Ebay for the Dining Room. I found this Dining Room set for $20 and I would reupholster it in that beautiful fabric. Add a new rug and a pretty chandelier and you have a new Dining Room for under $100!

This is an interesting series, Lori. I love the rug that you found. I cannot wait for next week. Do you the type of wood the dining room table and chairs is made of? They look very sturdy.

Thanks Anna! I need to work with Picasa a little more to get it to show how I would like it to. :-) I asked my husband about the table and chairs, as he’s the wood man, and he thinks that they are probably made of Oak. They do look very sturdy! I’m undecided what room to do next week. :-)

Thanks for letting me know about the type of wood. I will show Eddie the table and chair. He is a woodworker too and loves wood furniture, especially Shaker furniture. Whatever room you decide, I will be here next week to read your blog.
